Vegan Chocolate Hazelnut Spread

A rich, velvety chocolate hazelnut spread made with simple plant-based ingredients. Deep cocoa flavour, natural sweetness and ready in minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups roasted hazelnuts  
  • 2 tbsp melted coconut oil  
  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder 
  • 7 soft soaked dates  
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup  
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar  
  • 1 cup almond milk  
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract  
  • Pinch of sea salt  

Optional topping:
PureKtchn Dried Pineapple, finely chopped  

Method:
1. Place roasted hazelnuts in a high-powered blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
2. Add cocoa powder, dates, maple syrup, coconut sugar, coconut oil, almond milk, vanilla and salt.
3. Blend again until completely smooth and glossy. Adjust consistency with a little extra almond milk if needed.
4. Transfer to a clean jar and refrigerate.

To serve:
Spread on warm toast and top with finely chopped PureKtchn Dried Pineapple for a sweet, slightly tangy contrast.

Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
