Serving size
Serves 2 generous portions as a main, or 3 as a side.
How to cook
- Empty the pack (250g) into a saucepan.
- Add 700-750ml hot water or light vegetable stock.
- Bring to a gentle boil, then simmer 16-18 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Rest 2 minutes before serving.
Chef finish (recommended)
For the creamiest texture, stir in off the heat:
- a knob of butter (or plant butter)
- 1-2 tbsp grated Parmesan (or vegan alternative)
Salt note: if using stock and Parmesan, season at the end only if needed.
Make it your way
- Add sautéed fresh mushrooms for extra richness
- Stir through peas or spinach
- Top with roasted vegetables
- Add chicken, prawns, tofu or beans
